- Rain is delaying the wheat harvest in North Dakota, according to USDA reports, but barley harvest is nearly complete. Sugar beets are 9 percent lifted, compared with 4 percent last year. Kansas Agricultural Statistics Service reports the state's corn harvest is 28% complete, twice as much as average.
